What is QSEHRA & ICHRA?

QSEHRA (pronounced “Q-Sarah” for fun) is a new and more efficient way for small businesses (Under 50 employees) and non-profits to offer health insurance options to their employees.
ICHRA (we pronounce it “ick-rah”) is a game-changer for employers looking to provide health benefits to their employees. It represents a new, more modern model of employer-sponsored health insurance.

Benefits for Employers

QSEHRA allows employers to set aside a fixed amount of money each month for employees, provides a custom designed plan, and allows all unclaimed funds to stay with the employer.

ICHRA has several advantages over traditional group plans that may be appealing to some employers. For instance, the reimbursement model (sometimes called a “defined contribution”) gives employers greater ability to control costs and provides employees with more options to choose from. 

Benefits for Employees

QSEHRA does not count as income, gives freedom to pick the plan employees want and provides lots of options for health & medical reimbursement, i.e. Dental coverage, Vision, Accident Protection, deductible, co-pays, etc.

ICHRA, like QSEHRA, allows the employee to find the plan that fits their needs.
